| Yea i really just want to replace with the Silvia turbo Mikey was selling. Put the proper housing on this turbo and then sell it. Then with the right amount of funds, i want the GT28RS Right now this is the GT28R, but im assured by the public the RS its quite a lot better.
Could you give me Mikeys number by the way?

| I'm pretty sure Mikey isn't selling a silvia turbo. Joe is purchasing mikey's old sr20. Joe has an old RB20 ceramic turbo for sale. | |

| I think the RS will be too big on the smaller 1.6 you have. The 28R is push ing the size limits. If you do have to replace the turbo again maybe try something smaller like the 2560. More responsive. Also is the clearance gap the fault of the manufacturer, or is it the fault of the workshop that installed it? Should check it out cause you shouldn't have to pay for another one if it is a faulty unit. | |

| 2560r = GT28r This is a GT2560r I want to replace with a silvia turbo or something similar, definitely not bigger. Clearance gap is a manufacturer fault, however I bought it off ebay. 2nd hand. | |

| chris go to mtq and they should be able to get you the right sized housing. it is easier to do that than sell yours then buy another one. have you still got ben's number? he is using a 2871r with a .60 front housing, he was getting 175kw on 1 bar. with full boost by 3000rpm have a chat with him. he should be able to help you out. | |

| I know, I know. The turbo was advertised brand new for $500. Thought it was too good.
Car still made 120kw atw on 10psi of boost though. Although it feels like a Honda motor, gutless until you rev past 5000rpm.

| I reckon if you get a new one you will have boost by 2500rpm and all the way through to 6000 redline. More power too. My question is why did the mechanics fit it knowing it must have been dodgy??? | |

| I dont know, must have been looked over. Im going to go pay them a visit on Friday to see what they say. I initially thought it was a wastegate problem, and Aitkenvale auto were kind enough to get me a new wastegate and modify a new arm and dyno free of charge. Here's the dyno Still makes relatively good power for the boost levels. Ignore the rpm on the paper, that's maximum power at approx 7000rpm lol | |

| Not your usual boost like curve though is it. Mine was shallow then really, really steep then tapered off slightly at the end. I wish I still had the printout. Damn, gotta be somewhere. | |
