Well, i did my first attempt at the drags. Not as good as i hoped. First run was shat. Because of not being able to hear properly with the helmet, i kept thinking the wheels were spinning and gave up half way down............so that was a write off. Best of the night was a 14.3 with a 106 m/hr, so i am happy with the potential but i have to work on the take off. The 18's me think are not the best for traction. (neither is not having LSD) I think i might have fried the clutch a little as well. It was a great night though. I have been waiting to have a night with bugger all cars so i could have a few runs and i managed 12. Even then on the way home i thought "shit i should have done that differently" And what a night for the bushes to go in the gear shift..................i missed 3rd twice.
And if the track was longer i might have even beaten someone. LOL

The track takes some getting used to, it's not as grippy as you'd think due to all the guys on street rubber doing long burnouts, if you run street rubber do a static burnout on the concrete pad only then stage. Also with that MPH you've got Low 13 second potential but don't expect it straight away on that drag track without any form of slicks.

ok people ill have my extractors and full system fitted by then so im heading out for a race this weekend who of you are keen to come out for some fun

i may show up this weekend for a run or 4

a mate of mine has a nice vehicle coming down on teh 2nd hopefully so i shuold be there with him........ 11 second passes should be aquired if he can get traction...

I was gonna head out there last night, but spent a whole day walking around Townsville collecting donations so was too rooted to even do anything.

Can almost taste those 14's....
Bogged down a little on the last run because the track was very nice and grippy. Tyres were below 20psi, so insead of slipping, it hopped, im sure that handicapped me somewhat.
Just need one more run...

I think most people only got 2 runs, that race, coupled with a breakage meant most peaple started racing at 9:30 with gates closing at 10:15

Far out... very narrow window of race time there.. I would of had the puppy, paying for a night, and getting under an hours worth of laps in... sheesh!!!

well i was happy with the evo on the night
i only ran once 12.8 @92mph as i hit the brakes 15mtrs to early as i thought i had already crossed the line(opps my bad) other wise i think that it would have run a 12.5 as i knocked a fair amount of speed off on the run

On my first time out, i braked early as well.
Also you seem to have left pretty early.

On other street meet nights its never that busy, usually you can get at least 6 runs in.

the lantra got a 17 flat with the sub in so im pretty happy with that i think next time ill take the sub out though
