| These bastard Veedubs are sneakily quick, I distinctly remember having a few red light battles with a Jetta on the way to work a few times when I used to live in railway estate. The VN still won of course but it did suprise me |

Yeah they don't seem overly popular up here...mine had been on the yard for over 6 months - it only had 40kms on the clock. Obviously not a favourite car for test pilots.

| Awesome!!! Good to see another one...We will have to catch up some time. You can join our VW mafia!!! I am also a member on here, and I think this will help you out with what you can do to your Polo too. http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newforum/upload/index.php I have have my Polo GTI for nearly 18 months now, and it its so much fun!! One thing I have to tell you is you have to get it chipped. There are heaps of ECU Tunes available for the Polo like REVO, GIAC, Bluefine, Oetingger, and such I have the APR Tune. This took it from 110KW and 225MN of torgue up to 153KW, and 328NM of torque, and well worth the price!! This is them... http://www.goapr.com.au/products/ecu_upgrade_polo18t.html Guy Harding is the owner of APR Aust, and a very knowledgeable bloke(been tuning VW's for 20 odd years). He is also a member of VWWatercooled, and gives member discounts. If you have any questions about the Polo, don't hesitate to ask!! Ryan This is my beast and its list of mods... APR V2 Tune APR Torque Arm Bush Insert Whiteline Rear Sway Bar Forge Strut Brace Forge Turbo Intake Pipe Forge Intercooler to Throttle Body hose Forge BOV Weitec Springs K&N Panel Filter SEAT cold air Intake Federal 595 RSR Semi Slicks Gloss B Pillars Dash Cubby Short Antenna Tint Audi TT replica rims | |

| Quite the collection must make for a interesting sight when out in a group.
I am only just getting into this whole VW thing after years of modifying an e30 bmw. I took a while to decide on the car to get, I was tossing up between an 2001 audi s3 and the polo - in the end I just couldn't go past the polo. It is nice to begin modding with such a great package as a starting point.
It is a shame I missed out on the cruise today

| I was able to drive a 2003 S3 for a whole week couple of years ago. Actually, it was a courtesy car for my mum as her car was in the garage. But that didn't stop me taking the car out for a fang. Nice car and all, but its actually not that fast.... Still couldn't beat a Honda Prelude even with a mighty 4wd launch. That and the fact there just too damn expensive. Good choice going for the Polo GTI. Saw a couple of dyno vids on youtube, they put out about 105-110kw at the wheels. Would make an interesting race with my Corolla as I have similar power. Hope to see you at a drag day | |

Hope to see you at a drag day Yeah I only have 2200 kms on it so would like to put a few more on before giving it a huge rev at the drags - however will be taking it down the strip as soon as the engine loosens up a bit. nothing like a brand spanking enginebay

| Should be alright to abuse it earlier than that. New cars these days have a short run in time than they used to. New technology in oils and the fact that they pretty much run them in before they even leave the factory helps | |

| Thrash it from the 2500km mark. Best way to run them in, you'll never have a problem after that. Motor gets used to the abuse then. | |
