Hey Rhys would you be able to borrow a clutch alignment to suit a t56 on holden v8 and help align the clutch when I whack the box onto the new motor? I'll sling you some grog or coin for your efforts, as it is I'll be putting piss on for all helpers who wanna join in the fun.

ahhh Gen3 clutches have to be pre-tensioned before fitment, we use the press at work. I can do it for you if you like.

It's not a Gen3 though, it's a Malwoods clutch and should be similar to setup as a VR-VS GTS 5.7

looking at ur dp n ur user name it would be a 304 style set-up

He is using a t56 which comes standard on a gen3 i added the dots. All it is, is a input shaft cut off.

This is a really bad forum template.
Its hard to tell which of the threads are new, its just a flashing button which is bit hard to see.

Sooooo we don't need a clutch adjuster? It'd have a different bellhousing to a Gen3 I assume and I'm not sure if the clutches are the same either. The t56 actually did come out on the aussie V8 first in the VR/VS GTS stroker motors.

yeah you still need the aligning tool, it slides into the spigot and keeps the pressure plate straight while you tighten the bolts down. If its a T5 style clutch then no pre-tensioning should be required.

Indeed i am brother. The old theme seems to have disappeared, so i have to change it to something nicer. This one is temporary. I like the layout, its colourful and easy to read....just the new post button is a bit puppy. I'll either make a new one or find another skin
