And the verdict is.... no car today lol what a suprise but they did say the tune is just about done and they wanna check cold start in the morning. So ill defo be out in it tomorrow night.

Well i just picked my car up and guess what its making a whopping 210kw. So the wastegate had to be sent back, then the manifold split now the peice of puppy turbo wont spin up, all this for a kit that was supposed to make 450hp. Time to write a cranky email

Wasn't this the stuff they were fixing??? And why would they give it back if that much is wrong anyway. Crap. I cant talk.

Well i brought the turbo kit from dyson rotarys down south. The turbo was supposed to be fine, but its a frogger peice of puppy. I've just spent a stupid amount of labour that I shouldnt have had to for a car that is slower then when it was on the std turbo. Hooray

210kw?? Weren't you aiming for 300?? It's stories like this that make people hesitate doing things to their cars due to the expense usually incurred with shoddy workmanship and poor quality products. Coming from a "reputable" workshop like Dyson's you would expect it to be half decent, but i guess if you either not stupidly rich or family, they will treat and give you the worst they can which is really a tragic thing to experience in anyone's case.

Hope you sort the dilemma out bruz and get that rotor kickin ass soon!!

I thought you already got a new steam pipe manifold? And surely the turbo won't spool up with a split in the manifold. What's wrong with the wastegate?

Don't be so quick to judge on bolts on parts that are supposed to give an assumed power level. The assumption would be that the motor they are bolted to is 100% and the fitting was all done correctly, there are other factors that come into play.

Dysons are one of the most reputable rotary experts in aus, so you'd expect nothing but quality! Such a shame to hear mate. i was really hoping to see it out before i leave too

all i can say is, good luck with it all!

It sucks when you pay so much for something and it really isnt what you expected, or it's stuffed like in your case. The workshop you had the car in should have picked this puppy up. It makes them look bad by even putting the dodgey parts on. Trust me, been there done that.

Just got my car back from Hanos place.
What a difference, very quiet when your cruising, went on the highway to see if it was bearable at 100kph, and yes it was! Shoulda, got this done earlier, would have been much more pleasant on the ears. From what I know, I think I bought the car with a broken exhaust gasket, cause I never remembered the car being as quiet as it is now.
The downside, the car no longer sounds like a truck
