I'm getting it moulded in yeah, when i can afford to buy the clutch, i'll let ya know. DMWDave finally got back to me - Quote :
- The clutch I use in my turbo new swift is a four puck carbotic material sprung centre plate, this is mated to a cover that has increased clamp pressure but does not effect pedal pressure(pedal feel is still very light like std)also comes with new relese brg.Its very nice to drive with and has never slipped .
Price is $525 plus freight. The carbotic material is used instead of cerrametalic as it gives a much smoother grip point, cerramettalic are for drag /race use only as they are definately on/off in application. The carbotic material is far superior in grip to a std organic clutch but you can get away with a little slip if stuck in traffic, when you want to do full boost launches it will not slip. The sprung centre plate is good for up to 200hp atw, if you plan to run more power than that then I can offer a solid centre plate ,but this becomes a bit more on/off in application.

| Bloody mint car. I've shown this car to my mates back in NZ, they love it aswell. Particularly the choice of body kit, which is very slick. Personally, I love that little bit of red caliper showing through the black rims. | |

| hahahah cheers Chris!
When i bought it, i wanted it to stand out from the sea of new model swifts getting around. I think i have achieved that goal for sure. Exterior wise, i think i'm done. I'm looking into some Swift Sport seats if not, Recaro's
Since finding out from 2 seperate members of a swift forum that doing the exhaust is a waste of time and money, i dont think anymore performance mods are going to happen... unless i upgrade the turbo and push more boost through it

| I would rather have Jabba the Hutt sit on my face than own a Swift..... but then I don't even have a car so looks like you win.
Looks dope bro. I didn't even know you'd done that much to it!
Honestly I wouldn't be spending more $$ on the engine. Looks good and goes good for a street car.

| hahahahaha you love the Jabba (aka Grimace hahaha) Considering i can't get any parts here in oz, i can't see me doing any more performance mods anyways. I priced up some pistons and i'll be looking at around 2400 + shipping. Not worth it for the minimal gain i'll get out of them. The fastest new model swift in oz only does a high 14 and thats fully built by a workshop, so what chance do i have! I'm happy with him as he is. Turns more than a few heads | |
