Anything to do with cars is expensive, expect to save at least 5 grand.

if you can do most of the work yourself you will save a small islands gross domestic profit.

but yeah if you are paying someone to do it, better start saving the pennies.

hell for 5k id do the conversion......

cheapest you could do it would be about $2.5k...installing yourself

thats to get an engine, recondition it etc and sundry parts you might need.

mines cost alot because i got forged internals and have had head and block work done.

well other than basic maintenance I have'nt really done much to it other than a $1500 stereo... goes pretty good, alot clearer I say. I got 6.5" Rockford Fosgate in the front doors, 6x9 Option Audio in the parcel tray, 12" Kicker Comp sub, and 2 Kicker Amps. and a S#@T load of wiring.

You could maybe look at getting some second hand door cards and giving them a retrim yourself if your a handy kinda guy. Theres plenty of info on the net

LOL actually i was thinking of painting my rims black.. well the star part and leave a silver lip,, i reckon that would look aright

Isn't too much involved in doing that...

You'd need some fine sandpaper, 2 or more cans of VHT wheel paint, wax and grease remover, masking tape and newspaper, and preferrable a day of sun after they are painted, to give the paint time to cure. I'd be willing to help out if you wanted to do it?

What do you think about just painting the recessed parts of the star? A bit more work but would look nice I think.

Just the recessed bits would look good too, but it would be hard keeping the lines crisp, it'll be way to easy to see imperfections like that. But would still look pretty good. I prefer all black spokes tho

If you stuff up you can just do it again. Back to original wouldn't be too hard, it'd just need a light sand and a good buff.

Personally I say just go for it Not meaning to be rude but they aren't really top dollar rims or a top dollar car, so its good to experiment. You learn a lot by just giving it a shot. Thats what I did on my old car too.

At least if you stuff up the car is still drivable haha
