| Hey guys, Names Anthony, but ya'll can just call me Winnie I am soon to be the proud owner of one very clean Japspec SSS N14 Pulsar. Bits: SR20 VE neovvl engine 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust SSAC Stainless Steel Extractors Unifilter pod, cold air box and relocated battery to mount filter behind headlight Greddy MSS adjustable switch for the inlet and exhaust cams Consult display integrated into the top din slot Nolathane front and rear suspension bushes Whiteline adjustable rear swaybar New front and rear Bendix pads HD clutch B&M copy short shifter Front strut brace Remote central locking, alarm and immobiliser Power windows N15 SSS Wheels Lowered and riding on Pedders shocks all round NISMO gear knob Leather steering wheel Clear indicators Pioneer mp3/CD player with ipod and mp3 player cable Jaycar response amp Sony explode 10inch sub in moulded fibreglass box The Bad 2nd gear apparently has busted synchros. Car still shifts but could do with a re-con. Does anyone know of anyone they would recommend in tsv to recon the gbox? Or should I just hunt down a second hand one? Pics: (taken from facebook, you'll need to have an account to see them I think) PUBLIC LINK: https://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=132873&id=690655732&l=7b53892dae Will be looking to catch up with you guys once I get the car | |

| Welcome mate. Good to see you on here. Cant wait to see this thing out and see what it can do.
Gearboxes, dont even mention them around me as Jap Motors charged me 2900 for one. If you know what your doing, then pick up a second hand box and fit it in. Should still be cheaper than a rebuilt box.

| lol Jap Motors!!! hahaha I wouldn't touch half the workshops around here. I might just nip to the wreckers and hunt down a box. Hmm where's that money tree gone? I would've loved to have gone N13 DET but right before I could finalise a sale the seller went AWOL. I tried many times to contact him to no avail. love the avatar too bob | |

| Is the NEO VVL motor the variable valve timing one? I thought that only came out in the Xtrails. |

| Yes it is. It came out in Primeras (P10 and P11 I think) with the 20V version Primera having the most powerful sr20ve (hence why its called the 20V. it doesn't actually have 20 valves). It also came out in japanese pulsar special models the VZ-R. which was available as a two door hatch. Yes it has variable valve timing yo yo! I don't know too much about the X-Trail variants though but the VE makes 130-140 at the fly, compared to the DEs 105ish Bob, Autechs were only DEs. They just had monster cams and higher compression I think. | |

| Must have been. I'm failry sure they are only DE, because they use autech cams in big power NA builds for DEs. I really don't like the autechs body kit either blech
And whats with the word filter on V-T-E-C ? lol

| I would have liked an N15 VZ-R, but they are slightly more expensive haha. Too many cars in townsville sporting big massive bodykits. I'm not a fan unless it suits the car and the engine backs it up.
I was ever so close to purchasing a number of CA powered N13s... Stupid sellers.
I'm so damn excited about getting this car, I can't wait!

| Call the depot in a weeks time. Most of the time they have the cars sitting in there for a week anyway. Mine was supposed to take 1 month from Darwin but arrived here in 2 1/2 weeks. That was in the busy season too. | |
