Hearing is an important part of the job. People can get killed if you dont hear the orders.

I wouldnt call it minor Chris, my hearing loss is classifed as moderate to severe. Really I dont have that much hearing left, I barely hear turbos spool.

Hahahaha, in recent news, apparently Thai soldiers put out...... to each other...

I have industrial deafness due to fixing frickin diesel's and working near jet's in the past. (Good ole' Butterworth). My missus hates it, if its quiet I'm quite alright, as soon as ambient noise is around then I have a fair bit of trouble.

Being colour blind doesn't help when all the wiring is black...... hmmmm.

strict NO FRAT rule on operations, although there are an awful lot of dark corners when a base is blacked out at night

I am also going deaf from the Tanks firing. Outside it is fn load but inside, you cant hear the bang as much but the high pitch and mechanical noises from the recoil of the gun take there toll, and pretty quick too.

I really hope they don't last a day in jail. A- Because my money is better spent elsewhere, B- I'm sure some inmates would have a ball, C- They don't deserve to even be considered Australian, D- They don't deserve to go back home, E- They would make nice fertiliser for animals especially pigs to piss and puppy on.....

Well the VN is sleeping on the hoist at High Flow tonight, should have a mean looking piece of 3.5" stainless poking out the back when it's done

Oh and cars being cars my zook decided to chuck a hissy fit this morning by killing it's thermo fan. For some stupid reason I couldn't get the new thermo fan to run off the old wiring setup either despite having power there and everything working according to the multi meter. So I spent most of the day rewiring a new relay setup to run it and now all is sweet, I hate wiring.

It's cos she's jealous of the vn I tell ya.. She feels neglected already.

The feeling is mutual mate..... I hate wiring as well. Someone decided to play electrician at work and connected up a wire wrong and then shorted out, causing an electrical fire to start, the whole harness is toasted and they want me to fix it..... hahahaha not likely.

I dont do electrics unless it's a stereo. Too much can go wrong.

My job is so ****ing unbelievable. I'll try to sum it up by first telling you about the folks I work with:

First, there is this supermodel wanna-be chick. Yeah, okay, she is pretty hot, but damn is she completely useless. The girl is constantly fixing her hair or putting on makeup. She is extremely self-centered and has never once considered the needs or wants of anyone but herself. She is as dumb as a box of rocks, and I still find it surprising that she has enough brain power to continue to breathe.

The next chick is completely the opposite. She might even be one of the smartest people on the planet. Her career oppertunities are endless, and yet she is here with us. She is a zero on a scale of 1 to 10. I'm not sure she even showers, much less shaves her "womanly" parts. I think she might be a lesbian, because every time we drive by the hardware store, she moans like a cat in heat.

But the jewel of the crowd has got to be the ****ing stoner. And this guy is more than just your average pothead. In fact, he is baked before he comes to work, during work, and I'm sure after work. He probably hasn't been sober anytime in the last ten years, and he's only 22. He dresses like a beatnik throwback from the 1960's, and to make things worse, he brings his big ****ing dog to work. Every ****ing day I have to look at this huge Great Dane walk around half-stoned from the second-hand smoke. Hell, sometimes I even think it's trying to talk with its constant bellowing. Also, both of them are constantly hungry, requiring multiple stops to McDonalds and Burger King, every single ****ing day.

Anyway, I drive these ****tards around in my van and we solve mysteries and s.h.i.t.
