Spam Thread

Well, the car is back. I cannot believe the difference a decent tune can make. The car feels like new again. Boost comes on early and strong, the wheels start spinning again at 3000rpm in second and third, and the sound is completely different. Smooth and deep with no missing or fluctuations on idle. No flat spot between 2000 and 3000rpm either.

Car is running 14psi, 165kw at the wheels on a safe tune. Max power made was 176.7kw atw on 15psi.

Good to hear mate Hopefully I can catch that at all four soon enough I did 3 hours work for something I was quoted 4 thousand for on the black heap of puss and I am half way there It puts a bit of tarnish on what I love as a good town.

The tune up only cost me $400 as well. I dropped it off on Wednesday night, and it was complete by Thursday arvo. Picked it up today after work and dave had put it back on the dyno for free because he wasnt 100% happy with the thursday tune.

It is amasing how much money can be saved by doing work yourself. You just need the time to be able to do it.

Townsville is poor for performance tuning. Too many people say they know what they're doing, but have no idea at all. The fact that your engine still came from Nissan should have made the job easy for them

Its almost worth it to send the car away to be done. Which reminds me....i need to get the swift tuned and some work done

If it wasn't so far, i would drive him up. After the trip back from Townsville, i wont be driving that far again hahahahaha

Why the long face"s

My car wont pass rego here until I get it lifted a touch. The sump was sitting 7mm to low and the sway bar was just rubbing on the metal plates over the pits. Thisplace sucks. Oh, and the white sticker on my windscreen needs to be removed. It has been on there for 10 years and registered in 4 states with it but NT wont accept it this time for some reason.

That is a pain in the arse. Is it worth trying to find someone, somewhat dodgy. It would be a big shame to lose that sticker.

My bluebird goes in for roadworthy on Wednesday.

The car has to go over the pits for it's initial inspection. I think I just got an ass hole. If the sticker comes off, a new one will go on that is a little smaller that way they cant complain again.
Also got some new shocks going in on Friday and the stock springs back in the front. I will see how it sits then with the extra weight of the new gearbox. Hopefully it will still look good and I will leave them in there. I'm sick of hitting the bump stops over every bloody dip in the road.
