| I was just thinking that maybe we could have a small meet sometime this weekend where everyone could maybe gives some ideas or feedback on the project?
It would be nice to have each member with their part of the car they can say was their idea or that they did it. And to be honest, we should be meeting as a group more often. As i've said in the project thread, I don't expect much from you guys other than your muscles, ideas and skills.
So how about it? some kind of meet this weekend? an afternoon bbq? what days are people free

| Well luckily for you no one is trying to force you to care. I figured this project would be a great excuse to try and get everyone to come together as a group again. I voiced this idea and got a positive response from a number of members. If you would rather, myself and others can refrain from calling it the MM project, and it can just be a project between friends, with no affilliation to the group. You have been invited to join, but are not obliged to, so feel free to continue on not caring. But as this forum is not specifically the club, I plan to continue to post updates and organise events relating to this project as its the best method of communication i have with those willing to participate. So, in short, I would appreciate it if everyone could keep off topic posts out of this thread, I do believe that is what the chat thread is for. Re: the meetup, I don't think its going to happen this weekend, but if you wanted to pm me your numbers I might send you a text for an impromptu meetup. I'm sure chris is bored of having me call him up all the time | |

| I'm happy to lend my expertise (mechanical nous and skills) at any point mate. The concept is good, as always there will always be someone that won't like the idea. PM or Email I can be contacted. | |

| I just don't like it when people expect something for nothing. I'm all for work days and everything but I'm yet to hear any mention of a carton being provided... |

I wasn't expecting something for nothing, the suggestion was for the car to be a group project, so everyone could contribute, everyone could give it a go at the track/hill, and everyone could be a part of it. I was trying to get the idea that this was going to be a project car for the group, owned by the group. Everyone gets equal say in what happens. It was my intent, and I did mention, that i didn't expect anyone to contribute money, that i would supply and pay for parts myself. Or maybe a fundraiser event could be organised to help raise money for our project. So if giving you guys a car and supplying all required parts and tools in return for getting everyone together to swing a few spanners is asking something for nothing, then i'm stumped. It doesn't matter though, as I've already decided that this will not be a club project, it'll be my project, but with involvement from you guys. So in that case, BBQ, Beer, and (man)Breasts shall be on offer for all who attend

| Yeah well it was noble of you to suggest it be "owned" by the group but that just never works unless you're talking $100 scrub cars that everyone pitches in. I think it will be better this way |

| Yeah I actually thought of that idea, and realised that people are dumb, and will always have disagreements. This way its simple, my way or no way :p | |
