| hey these are the 2 cam's i have to pic from i think ill go with rally1 as it is so close to 350'' and i might not have to change my valve springs advertised timingsduration valve lift tappet cler bbdc atdc btdc addc advertised 1143C 51 19 21 49 250 250 .351" .351" N/A N/A .01" .008" Rally1. 1185C 61 29 31 59 270 270 .385" .385" N/A N/A .012" .01" Rally2.
Valve springs must be changed if using over .350" lift.

| hahaha i think he's saying he has 2 options to choose from. Unfortunately from that info i can't work out the lift and duration, so i have no idea which would be best suited. Fingers crossed you wont have to change the valve springs etc. coz thats when things start going pear shaped | |

| advertised timingsduration valve lift tappet cler bbdc atdc btdc addc advertised 1143C 51 19 21 49 250 250 .351" .351" N/A N/A .01" .008" Rally1. 1185C 61 29 31 59 270 270 .385" .385" N/A N/A .012" .01" Rally2.
underlined sections are intake and exhaust lift - .351 inches of lift im guessing over stock
are you sure that you would need to do the springs with the bigger ones?? the GTi's dont need to be changed when putting massive cams in

| just a query but is it really required that you run race fuel? like.... are you pushing the turbo to 2+ bar or advancing your timing so far that it will actually burn the race fuel for the correct time... most cars that run it are tuned that the ignition timing is huge to burn the fuel just so they make the full power off it..
sure you will notice a difference due to a larger amount of octane in it but unless you have that timing cranked up..... it wont be that effective at all.
just my 2c on it... |

| my timing has been advanced majorly so it should burn the fuel correctly and its not a turbocharged application fues as it is still unleaded c16 is the one ya want for a turbo'd car im running ms109 and its for n/a car's with stock compretion
..... can be used on a turbo'd car just wont have the effect it will on an n/a car i just got told

| have you got a switchable map selector to go from race-orientated fuel to the likes of a 95-98 every day fuel?
what was your timing adjusted for? 98 or the 109? if its the 98 it wont have high enough timing imo..... if the 109 then it could actually be burning your fuel for too long [on 98] and not making correct power....
the joys of a powerfc and a hand controller...
good to know your actually getting it done properly not just whacking race fuel in and going for a blast...... defeats the purpose of buying it IMO. |

| it has been done for 98 man as it is still my street car will play round with it when the next drag meet come's close and yeh i upgraded nearly all the ignition big coil bigger leads boch dissy and bosch points we have bumped up the timeing at the last drad meet to run a 50/50 of 98 and avgas so it should bee good to see how it go's with the new fuel streight no 50/50 mix lol | |

| chiptorque piggy back modules run a EPROM dont they?
which means you could actually implement a switch that changes the EPROM map to suit your fuel etc.... ive seen it done on a few gtir's with good results actually.
for me having the powerfc i can modify my overall timing on teh fly which is handy for shit fuel runs... |
