FWD DRAG NIGHT 13th of june

ok people as you all know i have organised another big fwd drag night and we already have some big interest so we head for that drags early like 6pm from lets say breakwater so we get in the gate first up and after we get in we will have a little driver's breif and a yarn then it will be time to get our car's check'd over and it off and racing here is who is coming so far

If this is a definate list (don't know about the mazda of mine).

It might pay to try and book the night to let them know and it will allow a group discount if people pay a deposit. That might be a good thing, if people pay before hand they are more likely to show up.

nah bruce they wont take early payment for a street meet alls they said they can do is open the gate early

i was just going off of the website for a group of 20 or more......but that might have to be a night that is not already booked down as a street meet. After the wait that you guy's had last time, opening the gates earlier might be better than a discount anyway.

Yeah the wait wasnt too bad would have been better towards the end of the night. . Caus i wanted to ice my cooler before each run but cause of the line i didnt bother as it would have melted by the time i hit the line.

Cant wait hey I want a 12sec pass . .

get a computer and it can get into 12.......

The event is still a fair way away. Most of the guys that went last time will more than likly be back for round 2 plus a few more. We will get an up to date list closer to the event.

I for 1 are defenatly keen to see how the LSD box will go.

yeah im goin out on saturday to see wat difference i can get between now and the june drags hopefully a big difference

Just for those who've never raced before.

1. The track is alot less grippy on street tyres than any normal road

2. The breaking area is akin to driving on a potholed half dirt country road

3. If you're running street tyres then only do a burnout stationary on the concrete pad, if on slicks or drag radials then long burnouts are permitted.

4. If you are running with stereo installs (not reccomended) then make sure everything is nice and secure. If you remove them then roll all the wires up and zip tie them together and place them out of the way.

5. Lower your drive tyre pressures, then lower them some more. About 12 to 15psi should do.

6. keep your foot flat until well past the finish line, too often people lift off early.

7. You will need long sleeves, long pants, ADR approved helmet, and enclosed shoes. Those like myself who drive without shoes mostly can kick them off once in the staging lanes and they never notice.

8. if your radiator has an overflow bottle then check if the overflow bottle has an overflow, they don't like this for some stupid reason. So take a coke bottle and a zip tie or two in case they make you use it as an overflow overflow.

9. TURN YOUR AIR CON OFF, not only does it sap power it wets the track.

10. You'll need your windows up and parkers on to race but do not put your headlights all the way on or you'll blind people when returning.
