Big dramas. A bit more to go yet. New rear mount is needed, cross member is too close to the engine, window tint frogger and gear linkage selectors are worn and rubbing on front swaybar, Rear swaybar rubbers are gone. Thats all I know so far. frogger my life.

pull the sway bars out while its in getting everything checked over, get new bushes etc for them when you are ready... it may not have the same handling characteristics without them but if it will get you through the roadie then go for it!

Have to have the swaybars in the car for the roady otherwise the suspension is unroadworthy.

Well I spoke to the mechanic and took the car for a test drive today. WOW. What a difference the new box has made. You can feel both wheels pulling the car forward and torque steer is almost non exsistant.
New clutch feels like a late model car and is as light as hell. Will take some getting used to I thinks.

The stuff for the road worthy is not as big as I first thought. The only major thing being the rear engine mount. The rest is just a little tidying up and some degreaser. The car will hopefully be finished on Friday complete with mod plate, and road worthy. If its finished early enough I will be going straight to the registry that afternoon, and i'll be out in it on Friday night. WOOHOO.

Rhys, I'll take you for a spin in it, but I'll be gentle until im used to the new box and clutch and can be sure I wont break it again.

It's an Exedy ceramic button clutch plate with custom 1400kg pressure plate. Feels great and the pedal feel is so light compared to the old one.

If you need somewhere to go for an easy roadworthy go to **********, look them up in the phone book. They're near Key motors, passed both of my cars and they have plenty of stuff on them that could be deamed not roadworthy.

Yes that would be it. They couldnt get to it today due to "Unforseen circumstances". They obviously dont want it gone as much as they made out yesterday so Friday is looking a little exxy at the moment. I may be able to pick it up on Saturday if it's done and then do the rego on Tuesday when I get back from bush, then go back out bush on tuesday arvo.

The roadworthy is done and it will pass for the mod plate with only a few minor repairs now so it's all good. Cheers though mate for the info. I will use them next time round.

That is one thing I hate about these types of workshops, they can never do a job when it should be done. Slack staff and piss poor management only cause headaches for its customers. One such business went down the gurglar due to poor management. Hope you don't get dicked around much more Bob starting to sound like they are having a lend of yah.
