| Well guys, just got back from the drags. Couple of problems: 1. My tacho doesnt work, just shifting when it hits the limiter. 2. My rev limiter is only 6700rpm, so when i shift up a gear, the gears are around 4000rpm and im off boost.
Regardles, and im very happy about the time: 14.45 @ 97mph 60ft: 2.2secs
Dropped the tyre pressure to 20psi, but still no traction in 1st or 2nd.

| Good work mate. A good second off your time and on it's first outing too. Get your problems sorted and you should have no drama's seeing some low 14's hi 13's with practice. | |

| This was a blind practice, no tacho makes it difficult to launch. I just rev untill i hit the limiter, back of a little bit and dump the clutch. Probably a bit too much revs. Good fun though | |

| I dont really launch mine cause I dont want to break anything. lol. Besides, if I did that I would be spinning the wheels uncontrolably for bloody ages. | |

| I dont have too much power where it spings too much. I launch, and then i just sit on the limiter untill im past the 60ft. Definitely going to break something here.
Tried doing a burnout, and the car wouldnt engage 2nd gear, it just crunched.
Another run, i missed 3rd gear and again crunched...
I might just buy another gearbox as a backup.

| Hydraulic or Cable clutch? Might need bleeding or adjustment. Could also be a worn clutch or pressure plate springs have slackened off a bit. Might be the box but trust me, I would try the cheaper things first. | |

Well i only got my tacho fixed yesterday and with some driving. Full boost is 4500-5000rpm Gear Change RPM drop (change @6700) RPM drop (change @6700) ------------------------------------------------------------- 1 -> 2 -2437 (to 4263) -2437 (to 4263) 2 -> 3 -2333 (to 4367) -2333 (to 4367) 3 -> 4 -1814 (to 4886) -1814 (to 4886) 4 -> 5 -1048 (to 5652) -1048 (to 5652) After shifting, rpm's drop pretty close to 4000, and it causes a slight stumble. Car isn't perfectly tuned as I still need larger injectors. Jason does seem to tune cars with a huge margin for safety. My injectors are the same size as the CA18DET and those are good for 140-150kw ATW. Bob can confirm that

| On your engine they should be fine for 150. Depends on the fuel pressure. Thats some hi revs for full boost. Mine starts coming on around 2500 and full boost by about 3200 - 3500. Hesitation sounds like a tuning issue. Maybe a sensor as well. 20psi on a small motor will take awhile to build up though. | |

| Yeah, I'm thinking the same... 20psi is a big number for a four banger to spin up in a hurry... Have you held it at around the 3000rpm mark to see if it slowly spools it in?
Really nice time BTW, especially for a first outting!!!

| I dont like flat changes. A throttle blip is enough for me. Flat changing is what snaps my engine mounts. | |

| I didn't realise you were running 20psi. Obviously there is still more to be done in the way of injectors and tuning before passing judgement. I also think you should be getting alot more RPM out of that motor when fully tuned with bigger squirters, then the lag won't be an issue. |

| Someone wrote that wrong, im only running 10psi... Definitely wont be going over 15psi on a stock motor. | |

| Its a t25 turbo. GT2560r
Driving around the car doesn't really feel laggy. Although i don't have anything to compare too. Besides, i think i need to do this when im in third gear cause 2nd gear is over pretty quick and i dont think that gives the car enough time to spool up.
