| Did a little bit of ecu tuning.
For those of you that know, after giving the car full throttle the car would start hesitating. The problem was the ignitors over heating, and weren't grounded. They were just zip tied to the strut brace. Now they are tied to a heat sink and grounded. Which has solved the problem.
Another problem, car had an overrun on the overrun. This was because the overrun was set to engage at 1500rpm. This is too low, because my idle is 1500rpm, so the overrun engages on idle.
Problem number 3, the car would hesitate when changing gears quickly. Solved with adding more fuel 3000-6000rpm @ 15-50% throttle
The last problem. With the aircon on, it made the car un-driveable. Adjusted the throttle body stop to allow a tiny bit more air through, and re-adjusted the throttle sensor. Driving with the aircon on or off makes no difference. This is the best adjustment so far.
An aftermarket ecu is great for such adjustments, especially when it is user friendly.
Car drives perfect as can be. Very smooth, and completely changes the cars behavior.
Next drag meet is on first week of August. With the new 16's, no wheel spin at all so keen to properly run the car.

| Cars got some dodgy repair. The right rear suspension and brakes are completely different to the rest of the car...

| Some updates.
Car blew a head-gasket the last drag day. Didn't catch it until weeks later when i noticed the car had a weird idle - water entering the cylinders and lots of white smoke.
Roughly 160,000km when the head gasket gave way. Was expecting more mileage. Probably racked up about 30 drag meets over 2 years.
Its probably going to cost $1200-1500 to replace the head gasket, and I dont really have the coin right now. I'd like to replace the headgasket myself...with supervision from someone more experienced. Anyone have some free time over the weekend? Will supply beer and possibly food.

| Head gaskets aren't to hard to do. Just make sure you get a good quality gasket so you can be sure it will hold when you wind up the boost. For a modified, boosted engine 160000 isnt to bad mileage for the head gasket. I think mine is about to blow soon too. Just a hunch. | |

| The car no longer smokes, i think the car had water in its fuel tank causing it to misfire and smoke on idle, cause its cleared up now. Went for a 2 hour drive yesterday, doesn't over heat or show signs of a worn headgasket, so thats good.
The car doesn't rev past 6500rpm so i think I may have a busted map sensor, heres hoping anyway. Or something on the fuel side of things is not giving me enough fuel.

| Just finished cleaning the garage.
It took me 6 hours to try and figure how to take the turbo off before i eventually gave up.
Cody and Brad got the turbo and manifold off and put the new turbo back onto the manifold in 3 hours... We only stopped because we needed some extra bolts and hoses.

| Same size turbo or different. Why are you missing bolts? Were they not there when you removed them from the car? | |

| Same size turbo, i didnt want to go different incase i had to change all my intercooler pipes.
Wasn't missing any bolts.
The air intake uses allen key screws, but we decided to use nuts which we took from the turbo-manifold so we were 2 bolts short.
Car is pretty much ready to go except the oil drain. Will have to wait until next week before i get a custom flange made up.
