I've always thought stainless manifolds were stupid, stainless doesn't like heat.

Actually stainless does fairly well, all the blackhawk firewalls are made of stainless, this was just way too thin and poorly made, on the bright side im getting a steam pipe one so thats a bonus.

A blackhawk firewall is not a turbo manifold and is not exactly subjected to the same heat all the time. And anything military that was made to cope with heat would be made from special grade stainless if required. Most stainless steel will crack waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before mild steal from heat and heating then cooling down. The glowing red hot heat that turbo manifolds can create is just toooooooooo much for your garden variety stainless, it just looks pretty. Even aspirated cars headers done in stainless crack way before mild. Go with the steam pipe one (which is just seamless mild steal pipe) from dysons, and HPC coat it for effect (although I would suggest the black HPC coating as the shiny stuff may not cope with the heat of a turbo manifold, the black stuff is better).

Update lol well the car is running again as of last night, finally got the replacement radiator. It runs the same with this turbo as the previous one so I'm not giving avale auto any more money, I'm going to see megadeth on the 7th so it's gonna get dropped off at dysons and I'll pick it up with my 450hp they promised

Couple of pics of my latest work. Kevlar underbody tray and radiator shroud. All should be well in the cooling department now. I had previously made the carbon panel between the headlights. If your wondering why there are so many wrinkles in the kevlar panel its because I told the painters to leave the compressor on as i had a vac bag going, and they forgot.

Noice. Shame about the vac bag wirinkles. I reckon paint it black and it'd look better and be harder to see the wrinkles

Mainly cooling at high speeds, also helps aerodynamics and protects the intercooler, oil cooler and radiator from debris. I did 1 high speed run and part of my front spoiler broke so I've reinforced it to help with the extra load, it's pretty light but I wouldn't be able to make another one have no materials and had an argument with my boss so I don't wanna ask to use the workshop for a bit
